Honor just launched the Honor Magic 3 Series in China and along with that is the release of a much cheaper, Honor X20 5G. It looks like a familiar phone from its former parent company, the Huawei Nova 8i. But the only thing that makes it different from the said device is support for GMS and 5G.
The Honor X20 5G has a 6.55-inch IPS-LCD panel with an FHD+ (2400x1080) resolution and a dynamic 120Hz refresh rate that can automatically switch depending on the content. It has a dual punch-hole cutout in the upper left corner of the screen that houses a selfie snapper and other sensors. The rear-triple camera setup on the device consists of a 64MP main, and a 2MP depth and macro lens. While the front snapper contains a 16MP sensor.
Honor X20 5G bolsters Mediatek Dimensity 900, a 6nm fabricated chip processed by TSMC. It has an ARM Cortex-A78 cores clocked at 2.4GHz and Arm Mali-G68 GPU. The configurations available are 6GB RAM/128GB ROM, 8GB RAM/128GB ROM and 8GB RAM/256GB ROM.
Other features include a 4,300 mAh battery, 66W fast-charging, Magic UI 4.2 on top of Android 11, and a Side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
