Codename Ingres to launch in January 2022 with a Snaprdragon 8 Gen 1 — DNKNWNBYTS

    To recall, the codename "Ingres" was first heard at the end of August, then the details about the device emerged later in September. According to Xiaomiui that phones will be sold under three different names depending on their regions.


    Codename "Ingres" uses a shortened model number L11, which is tipped to belong to the Redmi K50 Series. The smartphone appeared in the IMEI database listing its model numbers based on their multiple regional variants or brandings.

    The reports show that the device will release under the Redmi brand whereas, in India, it will flaunt the Xiaomi branding, and lastly, the Global version will sport POCO branding. It was later found from the MIUI Code that the device is equipping the Qualcomm SM8450 (Snapdragon 8 Gen 1). Codename Ingres could be named as Redmi K50 Pro in China, the Xiaomi 12X Pro in India, and the POCO F4 Pro in other parts of the world.



    Additionally, the phone is said to boast a triple rear camera setup comprising a 64MP OmniVision OV64B primary sensor, an ultrawide angle lens, and a macro lens. While for the security, it will use a side-mounted fingerprint reader, however, a reliable tipster Digital Chat Station hinted at an in-display fingerprint reader.

    The smartphone might debut in January next year, based on the first two-four digits of the model numbers. Also, the MIUI development for these devices started in August 2021 furthermore a possibility of an Android 12-based MIUI 13 is expected to ship with it.
